Figuring things out
hey readers, its been a while since i posted anything again. life is busy and getting to a gym has been challenging. well this post is a personal experience in lifting growth. mostly based on 2 muscle groups that i have struggled in growing due to listening and watching videos from other lifters with no success. so the first muscle that ive been struggling with for years is the chest. i got stronger but no bigger. it gets frustrating, seeing the plates add on but the muscles stay the same size. my triceps got marginly larger but nothing on the chest, not really. well i tried and tried to no avail. so i thought id try something else. that being i started changing my lifts up first. so instead of flat dumbbell or barbell bench press i did the incline version. still not much 'feeling' in the chest. pressing up and down, the bar or dumbbells were in line to the upper part of my chest, how wrong that was for me personally. so through major trial and error i mobed the line of the lift to around where my nipples line up and boom, chest growth. its so visible now. and im getting stronger with the weights. i ised to struggle doing flat and then incline press due to fatigue of the miscles bit now im benefitting. sometimes i dont even do flat bench, ill do decline angle and again have the line of lift over the nipples area. growth again.
so the other major exercise for me is the bicep curl i have been struggling with big time. so my triceps look good but in contrast to my triceps they lookd awful. so i messed around with grip. i mostly do the preacher curl to isolate and i use the ez bar due to an iffy right wrist but i was under the impression from past knowledge that you had to keep your hands wide for inner growth. again, that was wrong. getting frustrated with this lift i tried something else. i brought my hands a lot closer together on the bar , almost touching in the middle and lifted. oh my, the results on this lift have been amazing. my biceps are growing weekly and look much better. i can't believe for years i never tried any of these different ways and was stuck in the old pattern of lifting by other people's methods. so i guess the moral of this post, see what the lifters and reachers out there are doung. try it yourself, definitely ive it a chance but if you dont see any change then literally change it yourself. try different hand lositions or lifting timings, like up for 4 seconds, dont lock out and down for 4 seconds, 10-12 reps or however many you feel comfortable with.
